ok so what you can do is cut your bars down ,your seat post, your forks sterer tube, your axles get rid of all the extra crap you dont need and if you can afford to go to titanim stuff like pegs, headset, you could run a top cup on the bottom and top to save weight magnesium peddles helium in the tires not air and if you trust yourself you could drill our your dropouts and /or cut them

or like terrible1 said after you ride for a while you get used to it and ur back dosnt hurt. i had the same thing. there isnt much point in doin all that work if ur not gonna be doin big jumps or doing something were u NEED a light bike. but u should probally do a few things dkbmx21 said like take off all the extra shit thta is something good 2 do but i wouldnt spend 2 much money if u dont really need 2

Yeah, but I just like to get used to things right away rather then work up to it, but not everyone can do that.

who cares about the weight of their bike :) just ride and have fun.i mean...really why go through all the trouble of cutting suff like seat posts and little stuff like that...i mean yeah i guess it does add up but not that much. it also depends on your style of riding, dont ride alex tripple walls when you arent that agressive on your bike. Also dont ride a 520 chain!!! that pisses me off when i see kids that cant even ride that good with a chain that you could pull a mack truck with!!!!

dkbmx21 I didn't mean it like that. I meant rather then work my way up, I like to just start out with the 40 pound bike.
