I got problems getting the kicker in my bakyard more vertical than about 50°. Anybody got tips about how to make it more vertical (and hopefully, bigger too!) :D

pill up as much snow as possible. You need wet snow(temp warmer than 32) This will make the snow stick. Then just start rolling a large snowball on the ground. The snow will stick to it and gain size very quickly. Just keep doing this until you have a ton of snow for the jump. After you are done with that, use a flat-head shovel and shape it out the exact way you want it.

What I do... when Im not backcountry, Just take 3 wood sheets, make kind of a box around your kiker spot, fill that box with snow, shape it the way you want and put some water on the edges, wait one night and you gonna have an hard as rock icy take off! remember to put off the wood frame hunh! the snowball tip is awesome to! just need a lot of snow and warm weather...

Just pile up a ton of snow, pack it tight, and shape the lip how ya like it, or build a ramp out of wood and put snow on top of it

We always used to use some salt too. It melts the ice and then freezes, making the takeoff a bit stiffer.

It's kind of like cooking, you do it to taste almost. It takes some experimenting, but you'll figure it out. From what I remember (I haven't done this in a long time), we used to put a pretty heavy coat on top of it, let it sit for the night, and come back the next day. We'd put a light layer of snow on the jump and hit it. Play around with it though, let us know how it goes.
