Hey punkindrublic! To learn rail first start with one that you can just ride onto. A flat rail that's a little wide will be easier too. 50-50 a rail really isn't too hard. Don't worry about better riders making fun of you, most poeple who's opinions really matter will be impressed you're trying. If they're laughing at you, then they are the loser riders who are trying to be cool and who cares what they think. Gosh I hate that kind of rider.

all ya got to do is start on a rail that you don't have to jump to get on. believe me i did a rainbow rail for my first rail and hit my head. so when you get better just ride on keep your balance and ride off

I suggest that you find an easy rail that doesnt have to be ollied onto and make sure it isnt a very long one. then just go straight on if you feel like your losing your balance try to regain it otherwise jump off before you hurt yourself

Just to add another question to a similar topic: How much of a chance do I have of my board snapping in half if I go down a pipe? I've heard of it happening, but it seems like snowboard companies would be smart enough to try and prevent it somehow...
