!3l/lX
are you saying lose wieght or get stronger lol?

25 Oct 2005 19:29
bobe
if you get stronger you can lift the same amount of weight with it feeling lighter, its a good idea.

!3l/lX
well i got a weight bench so i guess ill use it a bit more lol

26 Oct 2005 01:25
spaztix
yea i ment get stronger from weights or w/e

or i mean if ur only talkng about a few pounds here just ride ur bike alot and you will get used to it and itll be easy if anythign riding with a little heavier bike will just get you stronger ive seen guys with 40 pound bikes do the same thing as someone with a 20 pounder so it dosnt really matter

like i play drums to i practice with giant stick really heavy so my hands get strong then when i have a show i use lighter ones and it feels like nothing

there are realy no cheap ways to reduce your bikes weight. this is one realy good way to make your bike "lighter". for a week or so, add weight to your bike any way possible. buy maybe 2 or so of those ankle weights that weigh about 5lbs each and attach them to your down tube. ride with the added 10lbs for a week and get used to your bike;learn how to bunnyhop and shit again with that extra weight, and when you take the weights off, its like having a brand new bike that is light as fuck. that is what i did when i raced and it realy helps.

27 Oct 2005 05:48
!3l/lX

you lot have got some mad ideas why dont you just get used to your bike and stop being such a wimp,it dont matter how heavy your bike is if you dont know how to use it you need more practise

Therejectedbmxer
:bows to mutleigh: some 1 with a brain on this forum. holy shit! dont u just fucking hate these gay questions?

30 Oct 2005 23:10
!3l/lX
no offense or aynthig why do you answer them then i was just wondering you tend to chat on forums thats what there for, for tips and w/e

although i do agree with you about the chris bmxer that is annoying

31 Oct 2005 01:04
Therejectedbmxer
i answer ones that have logical answers. but the weight of the bike should be no problem no matter how heavy it is becase u will get used to it, but that ankle weight idea i posted before is a way to make that "getting used to" perios alot shorter

no offence rejected bmx guy but thats the stupidist thing i have ever heard. there are some great ways to make ur bike lighter cut ur seat post not to much but if u are not using the part thats in the frame cut it same with sum forks and stems, take off ur gyro if u have 1 its a waste unless ur an x game medalist, get a lighter chain (standard 1 are heavy) and id have to say if u can afford it buy urself a lighter set of rims thats were about 30 % of the weight is

i'll post this here too. right here are the lightest rims made; oddyssey t-1000 @ 11.1oz. the heaviest; alex tripple wall @ 30.0oz. fell free to look it up

to the dick name reject bmxer what are u talking about some cheaper bikes u can cut the forks and stems.(only if u knew what you were talking about) but ur really a dick when u dont even know the weight of rims 15-30 g wtf rims dont way close to that !! there are many rims on the market that are light and strong(such as sun rise) and if u have a bmx with 4130 cromo i am shore it doesent come with single walled rims ive read some of ur forums about ur riding and stuff and u dont know jack i would be surprised if u could even ride a bike but to give advice like you do u would expect urself to be a pro and by the sounds of it ur not. shut the fuck up if u dont know what your talking about and i still think ur weight idea is stupid!!!

i dont know jack? and i'm a dick now? hmmmm. maybe with the rim thing you dont know what the fuck your talking about. incase you didnt know, the rim is the round piece of steel or aluminum that the tire is on. the all weigh very light. you may be talking about the whole wheelset in which case that is different from the rim. so once again, i advise you thinking before you type. why dont you shut the fuck up. ahhhhhhhhg. i fucking hate these god damn cock sucking incoherent mother fuckers on this website. and so what if i had a race bike with 4130 and my play bike is all 4130. i trust that better then aluminum. ok, so what if u think my weight idea is stupid. it does work so that what matters.

and once again here. right here are the lightest rims made; oddyssey t-1000 @ 11.1oz. the heaviest; alex tripple wall @ 30.0oz. fell free to look it up

o damn, i dont know how i missed this reply. so what if i use large words, i like to because the lesser minded like you dont convey them. and why the fuck would you tell me to skate to occupy my time? thats fucking hilarious, i hate skaters usualy. i would go outside and ride my bike but its broken and i just ordered new parts so fuck off. and rims, lets see. right here are the lightest rims made; oddyssey t-1000 @ 11.1oz. the heaviest; alex tripple wall @ 30.0oz. fell free to look it up.

just as u want to be so persistant about the weight and every thing i want to prove u wrong the lightest bmx rims are Velocity Aeroheat at @ 10.7oz and the heaviest ever recorded rim is Alex Supra-E @ 32.0oz so next time u wanna be smart do some research before u tell me to do some !!
